Are you man enough? [edit]
Everybody knows testosterone is what makes men manly. It separates the boys from the men. However, what men don’t know about this male-enhancing hormone can cause them to eventually begin to feel less of a man.
Here’s what it means to be man enough:
You have well developed muscle mass
You have physical strength
You have a deep voice
You have body and facial hair
You are energetic
You have stamina and endurance
You have a strong libido
You easily focus and concentrate on mental tasks
Your sex life is active and fulfilling
Men can thank testosterone for all these fine qualities. Chances are, if you’re like most men, you don’t give much thought at all to that manliest of hormones until you start to experience symptoms of its loss. You aren’t feeling as strong as you used to. Your hour at the gym leaves you winded and tired, with no muscle growth to show for it. As far as your sex life goes, you’re beginning to feel like you can take it or leave it. Your love handles are now accessible from all sides of your body. You want to play tennis again, but haven’t the energy to get up off the couch to look for your racket. You forget what you’re saying in mid-sentence and call it a senior moment.
These symptoms sneak up gradually over the years. You look for scapegoats to blame: work stress, mid-life crisis, senior moments, depression over weight gain. Or you might push the blame off to your wife for not being a perky 21 anymore, or the kids who are outwitting you at every turn. It’s not surprising that men get feelings of depression as they age. They don’t understand what’s happening to them and they don’t like it a single bit.
If men knew their bodies like they do the engines of their cars, much of the mystery about why they feel as they do would be eliminated. They would know that what they are experiencing is not depression about getting older, but simply a decrease in their production of testosterone. Lowered levels of testosterone are responsible for all the symptoms mentioned above.
According to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration, five million men may suffer from low Testosterone, yet only 5% get treated for it. The reason the other 95% don’t seek treatment is they simply lack information. Unless a man suspects low testosterone, he is unlikely to do any research or reading about it. Even if it affects his sex drive, he will be reluctant to admit it even to his closest friends. Men just don’t discuss such issues over cold beers, like women do over hot coffee. Men don’t like to admit to anyone that they are feeling weak, tired, or sexless, just as most men would rather die than ask for directions.
Well, here are two words that will get you pointed in the direction of feeling like your old self again: Testosterone Therapy. It’s such a simple treatment that you’ll be kicking yourself that you didn’t learn about it sooner.
Here’s what is involved: a man’s testosterone production peaks in his early 20’s. Then slowly by surely, the testes begin to produce less and less. By the time a man is in his 40s, the body starts to show the effects of less testosterone by exhibiting the symptoms mentioned earlier.
All you need is a hormone physician and a blood test to put the brakes on these signs of aging. Based on the results of a comprehensive blood panel test (no big deal), your physician will discover exactly where your testosterone levels are. If his suspicions of low testosterone are confirmed, he’ll give you a prescription for testosterone in an exact dosage to optimize your levels. This is a cream that you apply twice a day to a hairless area of your body. After your levels are optimized and your libido problems and other symptoms have been alleviated, the doctor may reduce your application to once a day. The entire therapy is no more difficult that putting a coat of wax on your car, but the results are far more satisfying.
At LivingYoung Center for Health & Anti-Aging, all the details of prescription filling and delivery are taken care of for you, making the therapy as simple as possible.
Now you have information. There is no reason why you shouldn’t seek readily available help to make you feel energized, vital, and sexy again. Surely, you’re man enough to know what’s good for you.
